Child Law Conference Hosted by Loyola University New Orleans College of Law

The Child Law Conference will address topics and legal issues interwoven in abuse and

neglect cases, but not always addressed in the court proceeding or through the child’s

representation. Presenters and panelists will provide participants with information and

discussion in mitigating trauma, child welfare law, immigration, successions and

tutorships, continuing tutorships, special education and programming for children with

disabilities, and a discussion on early legal advocacy and community supports through

the My Community Cares program in Louisiana. This conference will facilitate a

discussion throughout the day of how the system can be improved through

Child in Need of Care - CLE & Training

Join The Pro Bono Project on Friday, November 19 for our free annual six-hour CLE seminar for children's attorneys. Topics this year will include the Indian Child Welfare Act and working with immigrant children. As a condition of this free seminar, we ask that you accept representation in a pro bono CINC case or other matter.

This seminar will be online, and the Zoom link will be disseminated via email the week of the seminar. Because this is an online seminar, we are required to poll attendance during the course. Only those who respond to the attendance polling will receive CLE credit.

Child In Need Of Care: Training for Children's Attorneys CLE
