The Pro Bono Project provides legal service for residents in the following parishes: Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, and Washington. We will inquire about your income to determine eligibility.

We do not assist with criminal matters, legal emergencies, personal injury, contested custody, or contested successions. Click here for information on the differences between criminal and civil matters.

Metro currently provides wrap-around services including individual advocacy, information and referrals, group support, medical advocacy, legal advocacy, sheltering, individual support, safety planning, and caregiver support to survivors in eight Louisiana parishes. In Jefferson Parish, they help assist with completing protective orders and stalking.
